Chris Cottrell

Chris Cottrell is a practising spatial designer and researcher at Monash University’s Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, where he is also Program Coordinator of the Bachelor of Spatial Design. Through his PhD studies at RMIT University he developed a practice of ‘architectural judo’, a transversal practice that operates across installation and performative art, architecture, interior design and writing. This research practice explores our relationship to the built environment, with a focus on helping us to recognise and care about the subtle or invisible forces that influence the world around us.
